St Francis College Students go Gold at Arts and Culture Festival

St Francis college entrants in the Victory Christian School Arts & Culture Festival which took place from 8th to 11th March . The College had entries in the recital, vocal and artwork competitions.
Students Samara Howell, Jamie Lindsay, Julius Christiansen, Nathan Hendricks, Eva Hurley and Morgan Ackerman were all entered to play the piano. All these students achieved gold, with Samara, Eva and Morgan each scoring an astonishing 100%!
Songbirds Amy and Kate Robson, Lily Joubert, and Hannah Praetorius were entered in the vocal section, achieving a gold for Hannah and a bronze each for Amy, Kate and Lily!
The school entered 40 artworks from students in grades 4 -7, achieving 13 gold, 10 silver and 17 bronze certificates.
Four of the College’s young artists awarded gold achieved over 90%. They were Katy Killian, Sinéad Stewart, Phoebe Costanza and Joss Hempel with grade 7’s Joss being the highest scorer for the College with an amazing 94%.
Two talented Grade 6 students managed to achieve double gold. They were Samara Howell for piano and art and Hannah Praetorius for singing and art.
Five different schools from St Francis, Humansdorp and Jeffreys Bay took part in the Festival.
