COLLEGE COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS

OUTREACH

Our ‘Thoughtful Thursday” programme has been running since 2016 with great success and enthusiasm. Every term, pupils collect donations towards our allocated charity which ranges from our local animal welfare organisation, local soup kitchen and nursery school as well as the elderly or children in need.

Depending on the charity allocated for the term, each grade are given a specific day to bring in their donation or we collect as a school on a weekly basis. We have filled the tummies of hungry dogs and cats, donated vegetables and non-perishables for soup which feeds the children and elderly of our local township and even stationary for children who are undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. Our pupils have even given their pocket money towards the purchase of rubber kennels for any township pets who do not have a warm safe place to sleep.

In the first and second terms, two charities are allocated by the Thoughtful Thursday team.

In the third term, we ask the pupils which charity they would like to support and plans are then made to collect whatever goods they need to help them.

Our Thoughtful Thursday programme would not be successful without the generous and enthusiastic spirit of the pupils, staff and parents! Thank you to everyone for their continued support!
