The children came dressed in traditional wear, bokke supporters and as Game Rangers yesterday, in celebration of Heritage Day (24th Sept) and World Rhino Day (22nd Sept).
The morning was spent braaing Boerie Rolls, followed by a passionate assembly that was hosted by the Grade 4’s. They presented facts about Heritage Day and the illegal trade of Rhino Horn poaching.
It is so important that we all work together to educate, protect and sustain our conservation, this starts with our young, who will be future leaders.
The funds we raised yesterday will be donated to the Community Conservation Fund Africa, who amongst other initiatives work closely with the Wilderness Foundation, African Parks and the Tusk Foundation to help conquer the crisis we face in Rhino poaching. Prince William is a Patron of Tusk and Adrian Gardiner a Patron of the Wilderness Foundation.
