Nursery School News (Mrs Lonsdale)
The second term is marching along so fast and with it we are seeing all the children growing and flourishing every day.
The Nursery school has been a hive of activity this past month and I want to share some of the exciting things that have been happening:
R10 000 was what this amazing morning raised on the 25th May at the St Francis Links.
A big thank you must go out to Le and her amazing team of Mums from the Nursery school and parents committee. Another thank you to all the mums who donated books, toys and baked, prepared and helped on the day. All of us in the Nursery school are so very, very grateful .
We have new paving in the big play ground and it is so great to have it all done and looking neat. Thank you to Mr Osmond for organising, and making yourself available on the weekend’s to get this much needed job done. Thank you to Bob Harcus for organizing the donation of the paving stones, and the many others who were involved in this project.
On Thursday the 13th of June the whole school will be having their annual “Shapes” day, up at the St Francis Links. We leave the Nursery school promptly at 9.45am.
On Thursday the 18th of July we will be visiting the Boplaas Padstal, between Humansdorp and J’bay, details to follow.
Finally, a big THANK YOU to Alistair Brown for organising the repair of the see-saw …The see-saw is a very popular piece of equipment in the playground with the children. Thank you.also to Ross Anderson who once again came to our rescue with ablution problems.
Half term commences on Friday the 14th of June, the school closes at 1pm and reopens on Monday the 24th of June. Have a wonderful break and we look forward to the second half of a great term.
