Kouga Performance Cricket Centre (KPCC) played two matches against All Rounder Cricket Academy from Cape Town at the Youth Cricket Academy in Walmer, Port Elizabeth on 1st October.

Promising St Francis College cricketer, James Beckley scored the top score of 60 not out in the first of two under 13 matches but it was not enough to clinch the match. The Allrounder Cricket Academy scored 208 in 30 overs and KPCC scored 199 to lose by only 9 runs. Fellow College cricketer, Brennan Landman contributed competently in the under 13 matches with his bowling and fielding.

KCPC also played a warm up match against Nico Malan’s U14 team where James top scored again with 40 runs not out. Although KCPC lost both Under 13 matches, coach Ralton Fortuin regards these as important season warm up matches for the College cricketers.

The College were also enthusiastically represented in the under 11 team by Connor van der Marwitz as opening batsman and Gian Moolman who took a catch and bowl wicket in the first game.
