Visitors to Volkswagen Group South Africa in Uitenhage can expect the most Think Blue factory tour in Africa…

Because a tour of the Volkswagen’s enormous factory has gone mobile, visitors can now rest their feet, sit back and relax while taking in the sights and sounds of the intricate manufacturing process from a vehicle made entirely from recycled and unused vehicle parts.

A brand new addition – initiated out of the need for a safer, quicker and more manageable process when conducting the daily tours around the plant – the new FactoryTour vehicle is stationed adjacent to the AutoPavilion parking area.

The one-hour mobile tour is free and conducted Mondays to Thursday at 9h00 or 12h00, on a Friday only at 9h00, starting and ending at the AutoPavilion. We can accommodate 42 people per session of whom 21 people go into the Factory on the 1st trip and after an hour another group of 21 people go into the Factory.
