ST FRANCIS COLLEGE AFTER CARE

AFTER CARE

St Francis College is a member of ISASA (Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa) and follows a Christian ethos while embracing our diverse school family. Located on a farm in the St Francis Bay area, we offer a personalised, caring, disciplined and environmentally-aware education and a growing suite of sports and cultural activities and facilities.

Our talented and dynamic teaching staff ensure that high educational standards are achieved, incorporating traditional values and life skills. An exciting choice of sport and cultural activities is offered – our goal is to develop the full individual potential of each pupil. The school has produced young minds with a love of learning, sport and the environment, ready to fulfil their roles as valued members of society.

St Francis College welcomes pupils from age two up to grade 7. Each class is small enough to care, making sure that every pupil receives a solid grounding in these critical, formative years of education.

Our Nursery School Campus is situated under the shade of several majestic old fig trees (our very own Faraway Trees) and offers three classes accommodating ages two to four. . Run by a dedicated and caring group of teachers in a safe, informal and nurturing environment, children can take their first teetering steps into the formal world of learning at their own pace.

MISSION STATEMENT

To provide a happy, caring, disciplined and multi-cultural environment, committed to high educational standards and incorporating traditional values and life skills, which will:

  • provide for the intellectual, emotional, cultural, physical and spiritual needs of pre-school and primary school children
  • develop their full individual potential, enquiring minds and a love for learning and the environment, and
  • equip them for their role as valued members of society.

WE ARE AN ECOSCHOOL

There are EcoSchools worldwide in 31 countries, with over 600 schools currently registered in South Africa.  An EcoSchool is one that commits to continuously improving its environmental performance through better environmental learning and management.  Green Flags are awarded to successful schools each year. At St Francis College, alongside our permaculture gardens we focus on recycling, coastal pollution, endangered African penguins and our local area.

We are committed to excellence in education in a unique, caring and loving environment.
